TUAKAU / HARRISVILLE PONY CLUB INC BY-LAWS  (MAY 2004)

 

1        The Committee shall exercise all the powers and perform all the duties for which the Branch has been established and shall have full power to do such things as may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objects of the Tuakau/Harrisville Pony Club Inc.

                                                                        

2        Tuakau/Harrisville Pony Club Committee reserve the right to change or add By Laws at any

      stage regarding the management of Arena and Grounds. (Updated August 2007)

 

3         The Tuakau/Harrisville Pony Club Committee have the right to refuse any mount due to age or ability.

 

4         All riders must comply with the Pony Club regulations regarding the wearing of approved safety head and footwear whilst on Pony Club grounds.                                                                          Hats:                                                                                                                                           When mounted a properly fitting, securely fastened, correctly maintained helmet meeting the following standards MUST be worn.                                                                                          ASTM F1163 (American Standard)                                                                                                 PAS 015 (British Standard)                                                                                                      BSEN 1384 (joint British/European Standard )              These as per rule 2.21 – Uniforms                          

     EN 1384 (European Standard)                                                      

    AS/NZ 3838 (joint Australian/NZ standard) 

      

      Any other safety protection - eg back protectors – which may be made mandatory by the    

      NZPCA 

                                                     

5        All riders ride at their own risk. The grounds are to be used for pleasure riding only, no training of or breaking in of horses allowed. – no responsibility will be taken by the Tuakau/Harrisville Pony Club, its committee, Members or Grazer.

 

6        Any damage to the Arena or Grounds must be reported to a member of the Committee as soon as possible, so any repairs may be carried out.

 

7        Arena and grounds are to be left as they are found with gates and locks secured after use.

 

8        Tuakau / Harrisville Pony Club Rallies and Events have priority use regarding all facilities.

 

9        Tuakau / Harrisville Pony Club will endeavour to provide all members with advance notice of planned Rallies and Events by newsletter or email as soon as dates become known.

 

10     The Cross Country Course is closed for 3 months during winter. The dates will be advised in the newsletter or by email.

 

11     From time to time, certain areas of the grounds may be closed as is deemed necessary by the Committee and Grazer  to enable any repairs or alterations to be carried out, or to “rest” the grounds. Notice will be given in the newsletter.

 

12     All members and/or their families will be divided into groups and are required to attend every Working Bee and Event Day their group is allocated to, including the Twilight Show Jumping and Show Hunter series. Failure to comply, or arrange a substitute, will incur an immediate surcharge of $20 per event not attended, for which you will be invoiced. This By Law does not include Working Rallies.  (A Working Rally is a rally organized by the club or Branch at which all members are entitled to attend and some instruction is given or received.)

 

13     On rally nights, all mounted riders must assemble outside the Club House to await being called by their instructor.

 

14     When at a rally, riders must move between work areas at no more than a controlled trot. They must not canter, gallop or jump without the supervision of their instructor.

 

15     Please remove your mount’s droppings from the arena. Shovels will be hanging near the arena gate.

 

16     The key remains the property of the Tuakau/Harrisville Pony Club and must be returned when called in by the committee Secretary. For Arena Keyholders, the key will be renewed annually at the discretion of the Committee.

 

17     Tuakau / Harrisville Pony Club and Arena Keyholder registration fees are non refundable. This is Tuakau/Harrisville Pony Club policy.

 

18     If a member is transferring to another club fees will be dealt with according to Rule 2.14 of NZPCA Rules for Clubs and Branches.

 

19     There will be a maximum of twenty (20) Keyholders.

 

20     A bond of $30 will be levied against all key holders, of which $15 is refundable upon return of the key. This bond is a one off payment. No refund will be given should you be asked to return your key due to failure to comply with the By laws.

 

21     The key is for the sole use of the signatory. No rider is allowed use of the Pony Club facilities who is not a levied key holder or Tuakau/Harrisville Pony Club member. At no time is the key to be lent or borrowed to/by other persons for the use of the Pony Club facilities. Abuse of this By Law will result in your being asked to return your key to THPC.

 

22     Due to Council policy, No Dogs allowed on the grounds.
